Book through the public operator and arrive at 300 Finley Road near Arguello Gate. You do not need a private-club membership to play.

Looking for membership and a private clubhouse? That is the separate Presidio Golf & Concordia Club. Its members play this same course, but its clubhouse and membership services have a different address and contact.

History and design

The course began as nine holes on the Army post in 1895 and expanded to 18 in 1910. Public play began in 1995. The operator credits Robert Wood Johnstone and William McEwan with the expansion and Fowler & Simpson with a later redesign. Its history follows the course from military use into the national-park era.

Playing the course

Before you book

Check the operator’s rates and reservations for resident eligibility and the complete price. A 3% park fee applies to green fees; reservations 8–30 days ahead add a non-refundable $20 per player. Parking is paid separately. Singles should call the golf shop. Check cancellation terms before committing.

Practice and arrival

The practice facilities include a driving range and putting/chipping greens. Tuesday range opening is later for maintenance; confirm hours before travelling. Compare other San Francisco driving ranges if practice is your main reason for visiting.
