Val Verhunce

Val Verhunce is a PGA Class A professional with more than 25 years of teaching experience who currently teaches at Peacock Gap Golf Club in San Rafael, where his approach centers on assessing each player's physical ability and stature to build the most efficient, consistent swing. He served as head men's and women's golf coach at Sonoma State University from 2004 to 2025, leading the men's program to 15 NCAA Tournament appearances and earning CCAA and West Region Coach of the Year honors in 2008, and coached Jarin Todd, a two-time Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year. He is also the owner and director of instruction of the Val Verhunce Golf Improvement Centers.
