The Ridge 9 at Poppy Ridge

The Ridge 9 is Poppy Ridge’s separately bookable public nine-hole course in Livermore. The par-34 routing combines modified holes from the former Merlot and Chardonnay nines with three new holes and two new green complexes. It is distinct from the facility’s championship 18. Course History

NCGA opened the composite Ridge 9 on April 29, 2024 while the rest of the former 27-hole property was rebuilt. The operator continues to offer it as a separate nine-hole course after the championship 18 reopened in May 2025. Playing the Course

No. 2 is a short par 3 toward the clubhouse with a bunker front right and steep ground beyond the green. No. 4 is a downhill par 3 with bunkers short and long. No. 8 is a short, potentially drivable par 4 that bends right and climbs to a narrow green. The ninth finishes with an elevated par 4 where wind and out-of-bounds left make the tee shot demanding.
