Course description

The club describes different tee markers for the first and second nines, with rolling ground, tree-lined fairways and small undulating greens.
History and routing
The club opened for golf on September 24, 1922, after the McNear family donated land on May’s Hill. Its detailed history credits William Locke with supervising the original layout. In 1944 the club built three new holes and changed the routing; the original nine-hole course is not identical to the present one. A claimed 1983 renovation by Gary Baird could not be confirmed from the club’s history or another primary record.
Playing figures
The club publishes no current, dated scorecard on its public course pages. It says men use White markers on the first nine and Blue on the second; women use Red then Yellow. Those distinct tee sets make a single nine-hole yardage or rating especially easy to misstate. Ask the golf shop for the current card and the correct markers for your round.
Access and practice
The club is private, but its website says it accepts outside play from members of other private clubs. Arrange eligibility and a time directly with the golf shop; the website does not offer a public tee-time link.
