Course History

While golf has been played at Lake Chabot since the property's original 18-hole course opened in the 1920s, the shorter Par 3 (Executive) Course is a much more recent addition. Laid out by Bob Putman and opened in 2006, it was created to give players a quick, low-pressure option alongside the main course. Over the years it has become a popular spot for beginners taking their first swings, families playing together, and seasoned golfers squeezing in extra holes or dialing in their wedge game before or after a full round.
