Gene Bakkum

Gene Bakkum is a PGA Class A professional who leads Elevate Golf Academy in Oakland. The academy has earned a GRAA Top 100 Award, recognition in Golf Digest's 2026 Best Teachers of the State, and Young Professionals Directory Gold awards in 2022 and 2024. Bakkum's coaching balances fun with skill development for juniors and adults, including PGA Jr. League programs at two locations, and a former student on the Cal women's golf team has credited him with transforming her game.
