Course description

The maintained course record, presented separately from live booking and user reviews.

Opened in 1977 and designed by acclaimed architect Ted Robinson, its 18-hole championship course winds through rolling fairways framed by lakes and expansive bunkering. Beyond golf, members enjoy a full-service clubhouse with dining, event space, and a range of recreational and social amenities, making it a favored gathering place in the heart of the valley.

Course History

Crow Canyon Country Club opened in 1977, established during the growth of Danville and the surrounding San Ramon Valley as a residential and recreational community in the East Bay. From the outset it was conceived as a private country club, pairing a championship golf course with a clubhouse and social amenities for its members.

Over the decades the club has grown into a full-service facility, adding recreational and social offerings alongside its golf while remaining a well-regarded private club in the valley.

The Design & Architecture

The course was designed by Ted Robinson, a member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects widely known as the "King of Waterscapes" for his pioneering use of lakes, streams, and waterfalls as central design features. At Crow Canyon, that philosophy is evident in the strategic water hazards and generous bunkering woven through rolling fairways, placing a premium on accuracy over raw length across the par-69 layout.

Playing the Course

Measuring roughly 6,014 yards from the back tees to a par of 69, Crow Canyon rewards thoughtful, position-oriented golf rather than sheer distance. With a course rating of 70.0 and a slope of 129, the lakes and abundant bunkers demand accurate approaches, while the San Ramon Valley setting provides a scenic and enjoyable round for players of varying abilities.
