Its hillside routing, elevated tees and water-defined finish culminate at an island green on hole 18.
A 2024 Golf Range Association profile dates the club’s opening to 1979 and the Lakeside course’s opening to 1981. The club credits Bruce Devlin and Robert von Hagge with the original design and Graves & Pascuzzo with a complete 2001 reworking. The Falls Course is a distinct second 18, not Lakeside’s back nine.
Architect Casey O’Callaghan’s project page says his firm became the club’s consulting architect in 2009 and worked on Lakeside bunkers and its practice range. That page separately dates the Falls bunker renovation to 2022; it does not establish a 2022 Lakeside reopening.
The club describes elevation changes and elevated tees, and identifies hole 18 as an island green within a lake. Its public hole tour gives individual tee distances, including a long par-5 15th, but the current public page does not provide an accessible, complete rated scorecard. The club advertises 6,904 yards without a named tee, so no current yardage, rating or slope is shown in the fact band.
Blackhawk is a private club. The membership page lists golf membership categories and member-guest events, but does not establish open public tee-time booking or a specific unaccompanied guest entitlement. The club’s golf page lists a 21-bay covered TrackMan range and practice programs. This is a shared Blackhawk facility, not a separate Lakeside course.
