Pete Dye
American · 1925–2020
Pete Dye was an American golf course architect widely regarded as one of the most influential designers of the 20th century. Known for dramatic, challenging layouts featuring railroad ties, pot bunkers, and island greens, his celebrated works include the TPC Sawgrass Stadium Course and Whistling Straits.
Often working alongside his wife Alice Dye, he received numerous honors, including induction into the World Golf Hall of Fame.
