The Bay Golf Club enters TGL’s 2027 season with a clearer assignment than most: recover the reliable ball striking that carried it to the 2025 semifinals. It slipped to fifth at 2–3 in 2026 and missed the playoffs. With three returners, two newcomers and only three players in each match lineup, the Bay Area club has both a reset and a selection puzzle.

The 2026 season ended painfully. The Bay led Jupiter Links with three holes remaining in its finale, but Tom Kim’s ace helped Jupiter close on a 6–0 run and win 9–6. That result took the final postseason place. TGL’s match recap is a reminder that a strong opening in this format is no guarantee of a finish.

Player by player: 2026 recap and 2027 outlook

The figures below come from The Bay’s official 2026 regular-season scoring table. Triples points are credited to players in the team lineup; they are not individual stroke-play scores. TGL’s new roster announcement confirms the five players for 2027.

Wyndham Clark

Clark was The Bay’s most-used regular-season player and tied for its scoring lead with 13 total points: 10 in Triples and three in Singles. He won three Singles holes, more than any other Bay player. His three-win 2026 PGA Tour season, including another U.S. Open title, makes him the obvious anchor. Prediction: Clark starts the biggest matches; the team needs his individual scoring without depending on late holes to erase early deficits.

Min Woo Lee

Lee also finished on 13 total points, with 10 from Triples and three from Singles; he won two Singles holes. His speed gives The Bay a different way to attack holes, but the club’s wider accuracy drop limited what its power could deliver last season. Prediction: Lee stays in the main rotation and is most valuable when his driving produces playable approaches, not merely distance.

Ludvig Åberg

Åberg was credited with 10 points, nine in Triples and one in Singles, across the 2026 regular season. That is a quieter line than Clark’s or Lee’s, but he remains central to the return to a more precise team. Prediction: if Åberg helps restore fairways and greens, The Bay’s results improve even without a dramatic jump in his Singles total.

Ryan Fox

Fox did not play TGL in 2026, so there is no league performance to grade yet. He joins as the reigning Open champion after The Bay traded Shane Lowry to Boston. TGL’s roster analysis notes his 314.8-yard average driving distance on the 2026 PGA Tour. Prediction: Fox earns early starts for that power, but his real value will be turning tee shots into clean Triples scoring chances.

Blades Brown

Brown is also a TGL newcomer. At 19, he earned a PGA Tour card through the Korn Ferry Tour in 2026, becoming the youngest to do so by that route, according to TGL. Prediction: the fifth roster spot lets The Bay introduce him selectively. His first match will tell us more about his comfort with the arena, shot clock and team format than his professional résumé can.

What The Bay must change

The Bay led TGL in fairways hit and greens in regulation in 2025, then finished last in both categories in 2026, according to the league’s statistical preview. There was a high ceiling: an 11–5 win over eventual champion LA showed this group could beat anyone. But the finale against Jupiter showed the other side of the variance. Lowry’s departure and Fox’s arrival change the mix; neither automatically fixes the underlying accuracy problem.

Our 2027 prediction

Our early pick is for The Bay to return to a playoff position, but closer to the qualification line than the top seed. Clark, Lee and Åberg give the club a credible core; Fox adds a new weapon and Brown gives it depth. The prediction depends on improved fairways and greens in the first part of matches. If those numbers stay near their 2026 level, even strong Singles play may leave The Bay outside the postseason again.

The lineup to watch first is Clark, Lee and Fox: plenty of power, with immediate evidence on whether the new group can control its misses. Åberg could be the key to a steadier alternative, while Brown’s first appearance will show how aggressively the club uses its fifth player. Those are projections; TGL has not announced match lineups.

The Bay 2027 match schedule

TGL’s 2027 season opens Sunday, December 27, 2026, but the league says its full match schedule is still to come. As of October 26, The Bay has no announced match dates, opponents, or start times. The December 27 league opener is not yet confirmed as a The Bay match. Check The Bay’s schedule page and the official TGL schedule for fixtures when released.

How to watch, and see them in TGL action

The 2027 season opens December 27 at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. ESPN remains the U.S. television home, and the full match schedule is still pending as of October 26. The Bay represents this region, but TGL says its matches take place in Florida. For photographs of the returning players actually competing in the arena, see TGL’s official 2026 Bay photo gallery.
