Framed by rolling hills and oak-studded countryside along Cache Creek, the layout pairs meticulously conditioned playing surfaces with a serene natural setting. Managed by Troon Golf, it offers a resort and daily-fee experience with a country-club atmosphere and a "member for the day" feel.
Yocha Dehe Golf Club opened in January 2008 as the golf centerpiece of the Cache Creek Casino Resort, owned by the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation. The name means "home by the spring water" in the tribe's native language, reflecting the course's roots in the Capay Valley landscape.
Since opening, the course has been operated as a resort and daily-fee facility and is managed by Troon Golf, establishing itself as one of Northern California's leading resort golf destinations.
Designed by architect Brad Bell, the 18-hole layout stretches to 7,337 yards from the championship tees and plays to a par of 72. Bell routed the course through the rolling, oak-dotted terrain of the Capay Valley, using the natural contours and Cache Creek surroundings to shape holes framed by strategically placed bunkers, fast bentgrass greens, and generous rye-and-bluegrass fairways.
With a course rating of 75.0 and a slope of 144 from the back tees, Yocha Dehe presents a genuine test for low-handicap players while offering multiple tee options for golfers of all abilities. Well-conditioned fairways and quick greens reward accurate ball-striking and thoughtful course management, and the scenic valley setting makes for a memorable round in a tranquil, picturesque environment.
