Shoreline Golf Links

Overview

Shoreline Golf Links is Mountain View’s public, par-72 course beside San Francisco Bay. Wind crosses open ground, while water, mounds and contoured greens shape approaches. The 18-hole course sits within the City’s Shoreline recreation area. See the operator’s current course information before playing.

History and architecture

The City says the course was built in 1982–83, and Robert Trent Jones II’s portfolio lists Shoreline in 1983 with later 1987 work. The City’s 2025 park update reports that rebuilt green complexes on holes 2 and 12 reopened that April after settlement had distorted the old surfaces; the work included new approaches and bunkers. These dates refer to the course and its later work, not a new opening.

Playing the course

The operator-posted scorecard image carries a 03/2026 print date and lists the 18-hole Black tees at 7,008 yards and par 72. The separate live course-details table lists older Blue and White totals that disagree with that card, so its ratings and slopes have not been treated as a confirmed post-renovation tuple. Water borders several holes; a 50-acre sailing lake lies beside No. 10, and Bay winds can alter club selection.

• The operator’s rates and reservations page offers public online booking and walking rates. Mountain View residents have a separate rate and booking window; confirm current prices when reserving.

• The practice facility has a driving range, short-game area and putting greens. Check range hours and grass-tee availability before arriving.
