Playing the course
The layout asks for accurate shots rather than sheer length. Undulating greens and lakes affect several holes. The facility also has a driving range, a chipping green with bunker and a large putting green, allowing a full warm-up before the round.
Practice and lessons
Navy MWR lists a range, a chipping green with a bunker and a large putting green. The golf shop offers demo clubs and fitting help, while PGA professionals provide private lessons for golfers working on a first swing or a specific part of their game. These facilities make it possible to practice separately from an 18-hole reservation.
Beyond the course
The Commander’s Lounge contains two Foresight golf simulators and can be booked as an individual session or group rental. Monterey Pines Grill & Bar serves meals in the clubhouse, with an outdoor patio looking onto the course. Those facilities are separate from the par-70 outdoor layout and may have their own booking arrangements.
