Diablo Creek Golf Course

Mature trees, lakes and the creek shape the round, with a lighted driving range and putting green beside the course. The City of Concord continues to own the facility, and the operator offers online tee times.

Course facts and history

The course opened in 1963. The club credits Bob Baldock with the original design and Robert Muir Graves with a later redesign; the 2026 Northern California Golf Association directory credits Graves and Damian Pascuzzo for the 1990 redesign. The current operator lists par 71 and 6,896 yards from its longest tees, called Black in one table and Blue in its rating table.

The club’s downloadable scorecard is dated February 2012. Its Blue 6,896-yard row carries an old 73.2/125 rating and slope, while the newer USGA-indexed Blue men’s row shows different rating figures. Those ratings are left out of the current facts until a current primary edition can be opened. Ask the shop for today’s card if you are posting a score.

Playing the course

The operator’s hole tour describes water beside several fairways, including the third and sixth, and trees influencing the approach to the sixteenth. The City describes primarily flat terrain, five lakes and a creek. These are route and hazard clues, not a claim about today’s turf condition; check current tee markers and local rules before play.

The club rates page lists resident and non-resident walking and riding options for 9 or 18 holes. Use the operator’s booking link or call (925) 686-6267. The course is at 4050 Port Chicago Highway, Concord. The operator home page says the driving range is lighted; call ahead for weather-related range-hour changes and return carts before sunset.
