Course guide
The maintained course record, presented separately from live booking and user reviews.
Bert Stamps designed the original course in the late 1960s. Its short, tight fairways and tree-lined setting put a premium on accuracy.
Stamps originally laid out a par-72 course in the late 1960s. It now plays to par 70, with narrow landing areas and a sequence of holes where ravines, water and out-of-bounds demand a chosen line from the tee. The operator highlights the tenth as one of Northern California’s toughest holes; it combines a tight drive with an approach across a ravine.
The opening hole asks players to keep a tee shot between out-of-bounds and water. The third is a par 3 over a ravine, while the tenth combines a demanding tee shot with an approach over another ravine. DeLaveaga also has a two-level, lighted driving range with 40 stations.
The fourth is a dogleg right where a missed drive can quickly turn costly. On the eighth, out-of-bounds runs along the right side. A later par 4 brings water along the left and a fairway that slopes right, often leaving an uneven approach. Another short par 4 presents a tree-lined ravine between the tee and the fairway. Taken together, these holes reward position and club selection more than raw distance.
DeLaveaga is open to the public for both 18-hole and nine-hole rounds. Its two-tier lighted range has 40 hitting stations, while the Grille and adjacent RangeSide patio provide places to stay after play. The golf course and the separate park disc-golf facilities should be selected independently when planning a visit.
See the operator’s golf page and course tour for individual hole descriptions, tee-time access and range details.
Public tee times are available online for 18 or nine holes. The golf course is at 401 Upper Park Road; its disc golf facilities are separate. Call (831) 423-7214 for the golf operation. The operator’s golf and course-tour page has hole descriptions and current booking information.
