Robert B. McClure

General Robert B. McClure was a United States Army officer who oversaw the creation of the Bayonet course at Fort Ord in 1954. Built to challenge military personnel, the demanding layout — later joined by the Black Horse course — opened to the public after the base's closure in the 1990s.
